Personal Information is voluntarily supplied by you when you register and submit data to OdonataCentral. By registering, you allow us to associate your observations with a unique identifier (username, login and/or email), so that you can track your personal records. If you elect to show your name in the User Directory, your full name will be displayed publicly in your records. If you do not, only your selected username will be displayed publicly. Your full name and email are always available to vetters, who may email you to request more details or clarification about a record, but your email address and contact information will not be sold or distributed by us in any way. In addition, any administrators, developers or programmers working on the Odonata Central code, database or website will have access to your full name, email and other submitted personal information.

Dragonfly and damselfly observations are the most important pieces of information that we collect. All details of an observation and its associated location are available to all users of Odonata Central. No personal contact information is ever made public unless you opt to make it available in your profile.

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, email, phone number, and postal address. The information that we collect will be used to contact or identify you.

Because a primary goal of OdonataCentral is to maintain a universally accessible, centralized database of dragonfly and damselfly observations, the records you submit are available to all OdonataCentral users, scientists, and others who are interested in examining the distribution, abundance, and trends of New World species./p>

Registered users are able to view their personal observations and the observations of others, so please be aware that your observations of sensitive species and their locations will be available to others.
