Record Details

Species Pantala flavescens (Wandering Glider)
Specimen Notes Obviously a glider given the typical "teardrop" body shape, with round head and abdomen gradually coming to a point. Larger than meadowhawks and thinner-bodied than skimmers. Glided quickly in flight, changing direction frequently. Did not sit during the observation. The lack of spots on the hindwing and the paler, bright yellow abdomen with an orange marking on top, identify this as Wandering and not Spot-winged.
